A Natural Saa Paper Gift Bag which is great for presenting jewellery, rings or other small gifts.
Plastic free, and made traditionally in Thailand from the bark of a very fast growing mulberry bush that is very common in Northern Thailand.
The smaller branches of mulberry bushes (known as 'Saa' in Thai) are cut after the rainy season each year and the bark can then be steamed off. The branches will have regrown by the following year making the process of coppicing an environmentally friendly one.
The bark is turned into a pulp and dried naturally in the sun with layers added until it is the required thickness, it is then dyed naturally to produce vibrant coloured gift bags.
